Join us on Saturday, November 30th, at Aprikose for a festive Holiday Harvest Ornament Workshop led by Bozena Hrycyna from Folk Camp. In this hands-on session, you'll discover the art of creating straw love knots and harvest tokens using wheat and rye—traditional gifts and blessings for the home.

Throughout the workshop, you'll master various straw plaiting techniques and leave with a selection of unique pieces that you can finish at home. These charming creations also make delightful Christmas tree ornaments. We'll be working with heirloom wheat and other locally sourced materials, all thoughtfully prepared by Bozena. Come celebrate the season with us!

The ticket price includes tools, materials, and refreshments. Guests are welcome to weave at their own pace, with assistance from Bozena. No prior experience is necessary.

ABOUT BOZENA HRYCYNA:
Bozena Hrycyna is director of FOLK CAMP, an organisation connecting people with the folk arts, crafts, music, and land based traditions of Eastern Europe in the Canadian context. As co-founder of the Kosa Kolektiv, Bozena has collaborated with many talented and skilled artists, musicians, and community organisations in Ontario (and across Canada) to promote the richness of Ukrainian and Eastern European cultures, and to facilitate meaningful connections for people (cross-culturally and within their own lineage).
Bozena is an amateur singer, embroiderer, weaver, pysanka maker, textile and straw craftsperson, actively learning and sharing these art forms from her Ukrainian/Ruthenian heritage. She has taken workshops and travelled extensively in pursuit of deeper understandings of these and other folkways, and apprenticed to the land, spending the last six years on a homestead near Wilno, Ontario. 
Attendees will receive 10% off any purchases in the shop during the event.

Within Canada

  • Free shipping on all orders over $150

  • Flat rate of $15 for orders under $150

  • Orders are shipped via Canada Post, Purolator, or UPS using expedited parcel service

  • All shipments include tracking and are insured up to $100

  • You’ll receive tracking details via email once your order ships

Exceptions:

  • For orders shipping to Nunavut, Northwest Territories, or Yukon, a $20 flat rate applies

  • Free shipping is available to these regions on orders over $300

  • Estimated delivery: 10–14 business days, depending on destination

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

At Aprikose, your satisfaction means everything to us. If you're not completely happy with your purchase, we accept returns within 14 days of delivery for store credit or exchange only.

Please note: we do not offer refunds.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for a return, items must be:

  • Unused, unwashed, and in original condition

  • In the original packaging, with tags attached

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Undergarments, including socks and underwear

  • Magazines

  • Items marked Final Sale

  • All discounted or sale items

HOLIDAY & SEASONAL ITEMS

Items sold as part of our seasonal or holiday collections marked FINAL SALE are not eligible for return or exchange.

STORE CREDIT

Shop credit can be used both in-store and online.
To redeem your credit for an online purchase, please contact hello@shopaprikose.com as well as visit our Returns Center.

HOW TO START A RETURN

To request a return for store credit or an exchange, please visit our Returns Center.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Once we receive and inspect your return, you’ll receive an email notification regarding the status. If approved, store credit will be issued or your exchange will be processed. Approval is at the sole discretion of Aprikose.

SHIPPING COSTS

Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

DAMAGED OR LOST ITEMS

We pack every order with care and attention to detail. However, once your package leaves our facility, Aprikose is not responsible for lost or damaged items in transit.
If your order arrives damaged or is lost, we recommend contacting the shipping carrier (e.g., UPS or Canada Post) directly to file a claim.
