If you're fascinated by fungi or the practice of foraging, then learning to identify mushrooms is essential. While this is not a guide to edible mushrooms, Mushroom Finder by Jacob Kalichman is a great tool for getting started. The handy, easy-to-use booklet is your first step in identifying mushrooms, helping to provide you with a general identification to mushrooms that are fungus-like in appearance throughout the continental United States and Canada.
Not your typical mushroom guide, the booklet is aimed at breadth rather than depth-so you're likely to find the content that you're looking for, but you might not be able to identify a given fungus to its specific species or genus. To that end, Mushroom Finder provides a dichotomous key to identifying fungi. Simply answer a series of simple questions about the location, shape, or appearance of the mushroom, including its cap, spores, and stem. Along the way, professional illustrations by Roo Vandegrift help you arrive at a positive general identification.
This guide is applicable to mushrooms that are or look like a fungus, that are at least 5mm tall or wide, that have feelable thickness in all directions (unlike leaf spots), and that are still fresh.

United States Orders

  • Flat rate shipping of $25 on all orders

  • US orders are shipped via Purolator using the DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) method. This means that import duties, taxes, and customs fees are not included at checkout and may be collected by US Customs before delivery.

  • At this time, I do not offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), so any additional charges are the responsibility of the buyer.

International Orders

  • Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location

  • Estimated delivery: 10–14 business days, depending on destination

Additional Information

  • We use eco-conscious packaging and aim to reduce waste wherever possible

  • Customs, duties, and taxes are the responsibility of the customer

  • Aprikose is not liable for delays, damage, or loss caused by shipping carriers

  • Some oversized or irregularly shaped items may incur additional shipping charges—if applicable, we’ll contact you after checkout

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

At Aprikose, your satisfaction means everything to us. If you're not completely happy with your purchase, we accept returns within 14 days of delivery for store credit or exchange only.

  • Unused, unwashed, and in original condition

  • In the original packaging, with tags attached

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Items marked Final Sale

  • All discounted or sale items

HOLIDAY & SEASONAL ITEMS

Items sold as part of our seasonal or holiday collections marked FINAL SALE are not eligible for return or exchange.

STORE CREDIT

Shop credit can be used both in-store and online.
To redeem your credit for an online purchase, please contact hello@shopaprikose.com as well as visit our Returns Center.

HOW TO START A RETURN

To request a return for store credit or an exchange, please visit our Returns Center.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Once we receive and inspect your return, you’ll receive an email notification regarding the status. If approved, store credit will be issued or your exchange will be processed. Approval is at the sole discretion of Aprikose.

SHIPPING COSTS

Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

DAMAGED OR LOST ITEMS

We pack every order with care and attention to detail. However, once your package leaves our facility, Aprikose is not responsible for lost or damaged items in transit.
If your order arrives damaged or is lost, we recommend contacting the shipping carrier (e.g., UPS or Canada Post) directly to file a claim.
